Argentine solar projects developer 360Energy announced on Wednesday that its 22-MW solar farm in La Rioja province of Argentina reached commercial operation date (COD) on March 14.

The generation park, named La Rioja II, is part of a larger solar complex that will eventually reach 122 MW. The cluster is located at a site spanning close to 300 hectares (741.3 acres) of unused land in the municipality of Nonogasta.

The La Rioja II plant is expected to be able to generate some 55 GWh of electricity annually, 360Energy said.

This is 360Energy’s third solar farm to reach COD in 2024. The milestone follows the entry into operation of the 22-MWdc La Rioja III in Nonagasta and the the 6-MWdc Canada Honda IV in San Juan province.
