IEA urges proactive measures to integrate renewables
Sep 18, 2024 11:17 CESTHong Kong-based solar installer Asia Clean Capital Ltd (ACC) today said it has launched commercial operations at a 2-MW rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system in China for Belgian brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev (EBR:ABI), or AB InBev.
The solar array was installed at the rooftop of AB InBev’s brewery in Yunnan Province, southwestern China. In addition to covering 100% of the system costs, ACC has designed and built the PV facility, and will also take care of its long-term maintenance. The generated electricity will be supplied to AB InBev during the whole lifespan of the plant.
According to ACC’s estimates, the PV system is expected to save around 38,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, thus helping AB InBev to achieve its corporate social responsibility goals.
Last week, ACC said it has put into operation a 1.4-MW rooftop solar plant in China for Husqvarna Zenoah Changzhou Machinery Co, a unit of Swedish outdoor equipment maker Husqvarna (STO:HUSQ-B).
