Statkraft connects 44.5-MW solar farm to grid in Spain
Sep 19, 2024 15:28 CESTDublin-based professional services firm Accenture (NYSE:ACN) unveiled on Friday the acquisition of BOSLAN, a Spanish company that offers AI-powered management services for large-scale and energy transition-focused infrastructure projects, such as wind, solar and hydrogen, smart grids and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
Founded in 2000 and based in Bilbao, BOSLAN offers services including feasibility studies, project planning, cost and quality control, contract negotiation and management, design reviews, equipment purchase assistance and field work supervision.

The company’s customer base covers the renewable energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, data centres and utilities industries. It counts among its clients Acciona, Naturgy, Repsol, Cepsa and Siemens Energy, according to its website.
The Spanish firm’s team, which includes more than 1,000 engineers and project managers, will join Accenture’s infrastructure and capital projects practice within its digital engineering and manufacturing service, Industry X.
“Together, we will bring the power of data and AI to engineering to help our energy, industrial, and public and private infrastructure clients execute their energy transition infrastructure projects more efficiently, securely and predictably, said Mercedes Oblanca, Iberia market unit lead at Accenture.
The financial details of the investment were not disclosed.
