Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power Co (TADAWUL:2082) is set to launch commercial operations at a 300-MW solar project in Dubai which is part of the flagship Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum solar park.

In a stock market filing, the Riyadh-based developer said on Thursday that the project company has been granted the commercial operation certificate of Phase C of the Shuaa Energy 3 project.

The complete plant achieved commercial operation with a total capacity of 900 MW, ACWA Power said.

The Saudi company owns a 24% stake in Shuaa Energy 3 project.

When fully operational, the entire Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park will have a capacity of 5 GW, to be installed at a total cost of AED 50 billion (USD 13.61bn/EUR 12.53bn). The huge complex is planned to be fully commissioned by 2030.
