Woodland Biofuels to pour USD 1.35bn into Louisiana port biofuel hub
Sep 18, 2024 8:54 CESTUS renewable fuels company Aemetis Inc (NASDAQ:AMTX) has finished building a couple of dairy digesters and a four-mile pipeline for the production of renewable natural gas (RNG).
The work represented the first phase of the Central Dairy Digester Project, which will continue with the construction of a further 15 dairies and roughly 30 miles of private pipeline.
Aemetis explained that this project will produce below-zero carbon intensity RNG to displace petroleum-based natural gas used at the Keyes ethanol plant in California. In addition, it will provide fuel for RNG trucks and buses.
“After capturing and processing biogas from the anaerobic dairy digesters, we will pipeline the upgraded gas to our plant in Keyes, California where it will be available for use as energy to produce transportation fuel and high grade alcohol, and in the first half of 2021, inject the RNG into the common carrier pipeline and dispense RNG fuel to truck fleets at our onsite CNG loading station,” said Eric McAfee, chairman and CEO of Aemetis.
