Elawan bags Google PPA for 37-MW solar project in Texas
Sep 19, 2024 13:49 CESTFrench industrial gases supplier Air Liquide (EPA:AI) will buy Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) in Thailand to lower its Scope 2 emissions and support the climate objectives of its customers.
The company said today its unit Air Liquide Thailand has agreed to purchase RECs from Thai energy firm B.Grimm Power PCL (BKK:BGRIM), aiming to green a “significant portion” of the electricity the subsidiary uses to make industrial air gases. It did not reveal specific details.

Air Liquide aims to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. In the past year it has also struck a number of renewable power purchase agreements (PPAs) for operations in different parts of the world such as the Benelux region, Italy and Brazil.
