Elawan bags Google PPA for 37-MW solar project in Texas
Sep 19, 2024 13:49 CEST(ADPnews) – Oct 7, 2010 - US industrial gases provider Air Products & Chemicals Inc (NYSE:APD) said yesterday that it selected Blue Sky Solar LLC as turnkey installer for the 2 MW solar farm at its US headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Newkirk Electric Associates will provide the mechanical and electrical construction for the project, which is claimed to be one of the largest silicon thin-film facilities in the US.
Blue Sky Solar will be installing silicon, tandem thin-film photovoltaic (PV) panels from Air Products customers ENN Solar and Astronergy.
The project is expected to lower Air Products’ annual carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by around 2,000 tonnes. The generated electricity will be enough to supply power to more than half of the company’s administrative buildings.
