TIRANA (Albania), January 20 (SeeNews) – Albania's state-owned power corporation KESH said it is inviting bids in a 471 million leks ($4.6 million/3.8 million euro) tender for the construction of a 5.143 megawatt peak (MWp) solar park in the northern part of the country.

The deadline for submitting bids is February 19 and the construction works are planned to be completed within 4 months, KESH said in a tender notice published by Albania’s public procurement agency on Tuesday.

The solar park will be located on the site of Qyrsaqi dam of Vau i Dejes hydro power plant.

Albania produces over 90% of its electricity from hydropower plants, most of which are located along the Drin river, in the northern part of the country.
