Albioma acquires 3 MWp of PV plants on French Island

French power producer Albioma SA (EPA:ABIO) said Tuesday it has acquired 14 rooftop photovoltaic (PV) power plants, with a combined capacity of 3 MWp, on Reunion Island.

The vendors are Ciel et Terre, a designer and installer of rooftop PV plants in France, and investment group Samfi Invest. Commissioned in 2010 and 2011, the system are selling their generated electricity under contracts which have a residual term of 16 years.

The PV plants are located close to other Albioma solar parks so they will benefit from the proximity and technical expertise of the company's operating teams, generating good synergies.

This acquisition boosts Albioma's installed PV capacity to 26.5 MWp on Reunion Island, corresponding to 16% of total local capacity. .

The company now operating a total PV capacity of 74 MWp.
