Kibo Energy seeks to buy 20-GW renewables pipeline in Europe, Africa
Sep 16, 2024 17:21 CEST(ADPnews) - Oct 21, 2010 - French energy infrastructure firm Alstom (EPA:ALO) and US solar plants developer BrightSource Energy Inc have agreed to partner in the development of solar thermal power plants in the Mediterranean and Africa.
The move comes after Alstom acquired a stake in Brightsource for USD 55 million (EUR 39.2m) in May.
Alstom said this collaboration is part of its commitment to solar thermal power besides its hydro and wind power assets.
According to Brightsource, the partnership mirrors the rising demand for high-efficiency and environmentally-responsible solar power plants worldwide.
