Alter NRG gets additional contract for Nova Scotia sports centre

(ADPnews) - Jun 10, 2011 - Canadian Alter NRG Corp (TSE:NRG, PINK:ANRGF) said Thursday that it had received an additional contract of around CAD 600,000 (USD 616,000/EUR 424,500) for the Central Nova Scotia Civic Centre.

Near the end of January, the company won a CAD-1.45-million deal to install a geoexchange facility for the cooling of the ice rink at the entertainment and sports centre. As part of the expanded agreement, the company's geoexchange technology will now provide the building heating and cooling.

In general, Alter NRG's geoexchange solutions cater for heating and air conditioning through the use of geothermal energy. The facilities can scale down the use of fossil fuels by as much as 80%, according to Alter NRG estimates.
