American Battery Solutions seeks European expansion for BESS unit

Lithium-ion battery maker American Battery Solutions Inc announced on Monday that its energy storage solutions division (ABS ESS) is setting foot in Europe with the planned opening of an office in the UK.

ABS ESS is currently hiring staff and preparing for its first appearance at an energy exhibition in Munich this month, a press release said.

ABS ESS develops lithium-ion battery energy storage systems (BESS) under the TeraStor brand. It has already built the capacity to deploy more than 30 GWh of the product over the next three years.

As part of its geographic expansion plan, the company has appointed Brian Watson as vice president for ESS sales in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
