US electricity retailer Ammper Power on Thursday announced a deal to off-take the output of a 50-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) park that is due to go online in Texas at the end of next year.

The signing of the power purchase agreement (PPA) is aligned with Ammper Power’s goal to provide sustainable energy solutions to its customers. Specifically, the electricity from the contracted photovoltaic (PV) farm will be supplied to the power retailer’s commercial and industrial clients and will also benefit governmental organisations across Texas.

The solar project tied to the deal is expected to begin commercial operations in the fourth quarter of 2025. The name of the scheme’s owner was not disclosed in the press statement.

"This transaction illustrates Ammper's commitment to the ERCOT market and exemplifies its dedication to driving the energy transition and empowering customers to utilize sustainable solutions," said John Werner, vice president business development at Ammper.
