AMS Renewable Energy, a US engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for distributed solar and energy storage, has taken over for an undisclosed amount Oswego, New York-based distributed generation solar construction firm Collective Solar.

The investment is aligned with AMS Renewable’s strategy to expand and address a rapidly growing pipeline of EPC work across the northeast and mid-Atlantic markets, it noted in a statement on Monday.

Established in 2019, Collective Solar says it offers over 160 MW of solar construction experience. The company’s CEO and founder Vincent Colletti will now serve as head of construction for AMS Renewable.

New York City-based AMS Renewable is a licensed general contractor in 36 states. It is currently building over 100 MW of solar across National Grid and NYSEG service territories in upstate New York.
