Brazil's Piaui govt clears operations for 300-MW wind park
Sep 12, 2024 9:29 CESTOct 17, 2013 - Brazilian electricity sector watchdog Aneel has cleared the test launch of three turbines, of combined 9 MW, at the 30-MW Atlantica V wind power plant.
The park, together with three other plants, namely Atlantica I, II and IV, is part of a 120-MW wind complex in Palmares do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul state. The complex was acquired by Brazilian CPFL Renovaveis in 2012 after it had sold energy at an energy auction in August 2010. The four parks have authorisation to produce energy for 35 years as independent producers.
