Brazil's Piaui govt clears operations for 300-MW wind park
Sep 12, 2024 9:29 CESTJan 8, 2014 - Brazilian electricity sector regulator Aneel yesterday cleared the start of commercial operation of generation units 5 to 7, each of 3 MW, at the 30-MW wind park EOL Atlantica V.
On Friday, the regulator had authorised the commercial launch of generation unit 1 and generation unit 3, also of 3 MW each.
The park, owned by local developer CPFL Renovaveis, is located in the city of Palmares do Sul, in southern Rio Grande do Sul state.
It received priority status from the ministry of Mines and Energy in October 2013, which allows it to issue infrastructure debentures.
