The export price averaged USD 858 (EUR 702.5) per tonne last month, down 1.3% from April 2010.
In May, the Netherlands was the main destination for the biodiesel shipments with 48.3% of the total, while 30.1% went to Spain, 16.6% to Italy and 4.9% to Peru.
Argentina's compulsory diesel blend with 5% biodiesel, which was put on practice in the last two months, slowed down the growth of the biodiesel exports.

Argentina has the capacity to produce 2.4 million tonnes of biodiesel a year.
