Argentina exports 1.025m tonnes of biodiesel in Jan-Aug 2010

(ADPnews) - Sep 8, 2010 - Argentina's biodiesel exports rose to 1.025 million tonnes in the first eight months of 2010 from 834,565 tonnes in the same period last year, according to customs data.
In August alone, Argentina exported 120,476 tonnes of biodiesel, of which 58.2% went to the Netherlands. The remainder was shipped to Spain, Italy and Peru, with 36.4%, 4.2% and 1.2%, respectively.
The export price averaged USD 858 (EUR 676.4) per tonne in August, up 3.7% from July 2010.
Last month Argentina increased the obligatory content of biodiesel in the locally sold diesel to 7% from 5%.
