Argentina receives USD 520m in proposals under RenovAr Round 3 San Juan province, Argentina, 2.5 MW PV plant

Argentina has received offers for 56 renewable energy projects representing a combined investment of USD 520 million (EUR 466.7m) to take part in the third round of the RenovAr auction programme.

The tender will focus on small renewable and energy efficiency projects by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). According to the government, the maximum power allowed per project will be 10 MW, while the minimum is set at 0.5 MW, with the exception of wind.

Wind and solar will compete for a total of 350 MW of allocated capacity, with quotas by regions and provinces.

Winners will be decided on July 22, with the signing of the power purchase agreements (PPAs) with domestic grid operator CAMMESA scheduled to commence on July 29.
