Argentina’s Grupo Princz IPASA, a manufacturer and supplier of PVC compounds and bioplasticisers, has procured a mix of wind and solar to power its operations in the country.

This was announced on Tuesday by Argentine power company Genneia after signing a 15-year renewable power supply contract with Princz. The power purchase agreement (PPA), effective on May 1 2024, was facilitated through Argentina’s MATER marketplace for large electricity consumers.

Genneia said that the contracted electricity will come from its own assets. The company has 1,004 MW of operational wind and solar farms in Argentina.

The PPA will enable Princz to cover 60% of its energy demand with Genneia’s renewables, according to the announcement.
