Array Technologies announces MENAT expansion, 24-MW deal in Turkey Array Technologies Inc. Santolina Site

US solar tracking company Array Technologies Inc on Tuesday announced an expansion to the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT) region, including the opening of an office in Abu Dhabi.

The company also said it will supply solar trackers for four projects with a combined capacity of 24 MW in Turkey. The order has been awarded by local company STC Elektronik Ltd Sti, with the contract signed last week at The World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi. The projects, located in Sugozu Mevki, Sazli, Soke and Aydin, will be constructed in the first half of 2017.

Array Technologies said the MENAT region has a "tremendous" opportunity for solar adoption. It cited GTM's Global PV Tracker Landscape 2016 report, according to which the region's tracker market will experience the fastest growth globally with an average annual growth rate of 56% from 2016 to 2021.

"We are excited to have a presence in the Middle East and look forward to spearheading growth in this emerging hotspot of solar activity," said founder and chief executive Ron Corio.
