Aug 8, 2012 - Asahi Kasei Plastics N A Inc, part of Japanese Asahi Kasei Corp (TYO:3407), today said it had joined hands with Unified Energies International on the development of a wind turbine for residential use and utility-scale projects.

Asahi Kasei Plastics will supply materials and provide plastics application development expertise to speed up the commercial production of the Windstrument turbine, said Scott Kushion, director of the company's commercial services and industrial segment.
