Turkish solar developer and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm Asunim announced Wednesday that it has finalised work on two solar sites with a combined capacity of 42 MW which were built for local company Sancak Enerji.

The contract concerned a 26-MW solar farm integrated into the 103.2-MW Konya Baglar wind park and a 16-MW solar facility integrated into the 52.8-MW Yahyali wind farm.

Asunim was in charge of the 3D designs, advanced engineering and software services as well as of the hybrid power plant controller technology which was implemented for the first time in Turkey, among other EPC-related services.

The completion of the assignment from Sancak Enerji came shortly after Asunim last month secured a contract from a unit of Akfen Renewable Energy to build a 40-MWp solar site at the 99-MW Ucpinar Wind Power Plant which has been active since 2019.
