Marmen to restart wind tower production for 350-MW Quebec project
Sep 18, 2024 16:11 CESTNov 2, 2011 - Atlantica Hotel Halifax in Canada's province of Nova Scotia has agreed to buy enough electricity from Canadian wind and hydropower producer Bullfrog Power to meet the needs of its meeting rooms and offices, Bullfrog said Tuesday.
Under the terms of the agreement, Bullfrog will supply enough power to the local grid to match 100% of the electricity consumption of the hotel's meeting rooms and administrative locations. The deal is in line with Atlantica Hotel Halifax's sustainability plan, which also includes recycling and organic waste diversion programmes and energy-efficient lightning.
Bullfrog provides renewable power for homes and businesses in the Maritime provinces -- New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island -- since the autumn of 2009. The company plans to further expand its wind power capacity in the region.
