Solar expansion in Germany slows down to 790 MW in August
Sep 18, 2024 14:19 CESTBelgium-based renewables investor and developer Aukera Energy has acquired a 46-MW solar project, coupled with a battery energy storage system (BESS) of 40 MW, in the southwest German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
The project was purchased from an undisclosed German renewables developer in a deal facilitated by Capcora as the seller’s exclusive M&A adviser, the latter said in a press statement today.
The solar project, which is in an advanced stage of development, is set to reach ready-to-build status by the first quarter of 2025.
“We are already preparing to kick off pre-construction and procurement activities. This proactive approach ensures that we stay ahead of schedule and maintain momentum,” said Kemal Keskin, managing director for Germany at Aukera.
Brussels-based Aukera specialises in solar, wind and battery storage projects. The company is currently developing a pipeline of 15 GW and expects to have over 1.5 GW in construction or operation by 2026.
