Swiss renewable energy producer and trader Axpo Holding AG has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Slovenian industrial products supplier Kolektor group to deliver up to 200 GWh of renewable energy to one of its local plants.

The 10-year deal marks the first ever financial corporate PPA in Slovenia, Axpo highlighted in a statement published today.

Under its terms, the Swiss group will hedge the long-term fixed price for the contracted electricity. The power will be supplied to a facility of Kolektor Mobility which makes components and systems for electric vehicles. Another unit of the Slovenian firm --Kolektor sETup d.o.o, will ensure the physical supply of energy.

The deal with Kolektor comes as the latest significant power supply agreement reached by Axpo in south-eastern Europe this year. It follows long-term wind power PPAs in Croatia and in Serbia which added 216 MW to the Swiss firm’s regional renewable energy portfolio.
