Bangladesh-China JV seeks EPC for 60-MW solar project Solar panels by iamme ubeyou.

Bangladesh-China Renewable Energy Company (Pvt) Ltd is seeking to award a turnkey contract for the installation of a 60-MW solar farm in Pabna, Bangladesh.

The company, a joint venture between an enterprise of Bangladesh Power Development Board and China National Machinery Import and Export Corp, is inviting bids from experienced contractors, ready to engineer, design, supply, install, test and commission the photovoltaic (PV) project. The task also includes construction of a 37-km 132-kV double-circuit transmission line with substation bay extension.

Bids will be accepted by noon on December 27. Once a contract is awarded, the project has to be completed in 540 days.

To bid for the job, a company must have at least seven years of experience as a contractor, including as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor in two successfully completed solar projects bigger than 50 MW in the last five years. The bidders' average annual revenues should be at least USD 100 million (EUR 86m) over the last three years.
