ABP presents plan to turn Port of Barrow into renewables hub
Sep 18, 2024 14:41 CESTGermany’s BayWa r.e. AG will provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for 149 MW of solar farms in the UK.
The renewables specialist announced on Thursday that it has signed a contract with London-based investment firms Cubico Sustainable Investments and GLIL Infrastructure to take over O&M duties at 12 ground-mounted solar farms across England and Scotland.
The scope of services will range from reactive maintenance and monitoring to detailed performance analytics. Onboarding of the sites began in July, BayWa r.e. said.
This is BayWa r.e.’s first O&M partnership with Cubico in the UK. The German firm’s UK Asset Operations Team manages over 2 GW of renewables, including more than 835 MW of ground-mounted solar. Cubico’s own renewables portfolio is filled with over 3.2 GW, with a further 700 MW under construction.
Cubico and GLIL partnered on some renewables in the UK in late 2019. The deal included a shared ownership of over 250 MW of wind and solar farms.
