Belarus agriculture firms to boost green energy investment to EUR 23.5m in 2012 - report

Oct 8, 2012 - Belarusian agricultural firms plan to boost renewable energy investments to EUR 23.5 million (USD 30.5m) in 2012, Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA) reported today citing First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Leonid Marinich.

Investments in renewable energy totalled EUR 7 million in 2010 and EUR 19 million in 2011, Marinich said at the 16th Belarusian-Polish Economic Forum Good Neighborliness in Minsk today.

Marinich has said that Belarus is running trial operation of a 1.4-MW biogas plant with investments from Switzerland.
