The government of Bermuda has issued a request for proposal (RFP) seeking services and equipment for a project to install around 7 MW of rooftop solar PV systems atop government-owned buildings across the archipelago nation.

The RFP process was initiated on July 8, but there is still time to submit documents before the next deadline.

Services will include the design, supply of materials, permitting, installation, commissioning, testing, monitoring and leasing the rooftop systems. The lease will have a term of no less than 25 years.

The project will involve the installation of solar panels and other equipment on around 30 buildings. One of the requirements is that the components have to be resilient enough to withstand hurricanes.

Those interested in this opportunity can find more information and relevant documents on the Bermuda government’s website here: https://www.gov.bm/procurement/government-solar-development-project-0
