Statkraft connects 44.5-MW solar farm to grid in Spain
Sep 19, 2024 15:28 CESTJul 29, 2013 - A biodiesel plant is planned to be built in the Spanish autonomous region of Castile and Leon as part of an international project.
The construction is part of an initiative jointly developed by Aeris, Cartif, a technology institute from India and the Agency of Innovation, Funding and Corporate Internationalisation of Castile and Leon (ADE), representatives of these institutions informed Spain's newspaper El Mundo.
The facility will require an investment of almost EUR 12 million (USD 15.94m). It is envisaged to produce around 10,000 tonnes of biodiesel a year from microalgae cultivation. Apart from that sum, a total 450,000 has been invested in the project's feasibility study.
The project also includes the construction of another biodiesel plant in India envisaging the same investment.
