Eurowind, Wind Estate set up EUR-400m wind JV in Denmark
Sep 18, 2024 11:01 CESTDanish logistics company Blue Water Shipping and Danwind Group's construction division have agreed to launch a new joint venture that will provide turnkey turbine services to help accelerate the development of wind projects worldwide.
The new business, named Danwind Blue Water, will have activities spanning the full scope of wind turbine deployment, including logistics, assembly or disassembly, and installation.
The joint venture is slated to begin full operations by the end of the first quarter of 2022, a statement showed on Friday. Danwind's group CEO Dan Kjellgren will be at the helm.
Danwind Blue Water will offer integrated services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) by drawing on Blue Water’s logistics and cargo-handling capabilities and on Danwind’s 700-strong workforce to cater to increasing demand in the wind industry.
Danwind provides pre-assembly and installation services for onshore and offshore wind turbines from multiple suppliers.
