Danish transport and logistics company Blue Water Shipping and Germany's Bremer Reederei E&B GmbH (BREB) have formed a joint venture that will focus on servicing the wind turbine industry in Germany.

The services of the joint venture, called Blue Water BREB GmbH, will include port agency, stevedoring, loading, discharging, storage and transport, Blue Water Shipping said today.

Headquartered in Esbjerg, Denmark, the world's largest port for shipment of wind turbines, Blue Water Shipping has been providing services to the onshore and offshore wind industry globally for over 20 years. Its partner, BREB has been involved in the German offshore wind market since 2008.

Arne Ehlers, managing director and partner of BREB, said that the joint venture will be able to offer all types of transport and logistical services at all key locations for the German offshore wind industry.
