Sep 19, 2024 13:49 CESTUS aerospace giant Boeing (NYSE:BA) will cover a quarter of the electricity consumption at its Mesa site in Arizona with solar power from a new 100-MW plant as part of a deal with the Salt River Project (SRP) utility.
The contract has a term of 15 years and envisages Boeing buying electricity generated by SRP’s soon-to-be-built solar park in Eloy, Arizona. The facility will be constructed about 50 miles from the Mesa site, where Boeing manufactures Apache helicopters and houses various corporate, commercial and defense teams.
