Jordan Green agrees land deal for solar-powered green ammonia hub
Sep 20, 2024 5:52 CESTGermany and France may consider installing assembly plants for wind and solar power equipment in Bolivia, President Evo Morales said on Wednesday.
Germany is looking favourably at installing a plant for the Bolivian and South American wind power market, while France is interested in the assembling of solar equipment. Bolivia's embassies and the ministry of development planning will be responsible for advancing the opportunity, Morales added.
The country has recently secured German support for technical assistance and training in renewable energy and financing from the Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD) for solar and wind farm projects in the next two years.
Currently, Bolivia has a 5-MW off-grid photovoltaic facility in the Pando department and is expanding a 3-MW wind farm in Cochabamba by an additional 24 MW.
