Jordan Green agrees land deal for solar-powered green ammonia hub
Sep 20, 2024 5:52 CESTBolivian state-owned power corporation Empresa Nacional de Electricidad (ENDE) this week invited domestic and foreign contractors to participate in the tender process for the design and installation of two wind farms totalling 45 MW in Bolivia.
ENDE said that it is seeking companies or joint ventures with “proven experience” to install the 21-MW Warnes II wind farm in the Santa Cruz department and the 24-MW La Ventolera in the Tarija department. The selected contractor will be responsible for designing the projects, and supplying, transporting, assembling, testing and commissioning the wind turbines.
The offer for the goods and services must be expressed in euros, but the bid should not exceed USD 58.3 million (EUR 54.4m) allocated for the contract, or else it would be disqualified, ENDE said in the tender documents.
Funding for the projects was secured via an agreement between the Bolivian state and French development agency AFD.
Interested bidders have until July 25, 2022, to submit their proposal. ENDE expects to publish the results on November 10 this year.
