German engineering company Robert Bosch GmbH will procure electricity from two solar park projects with a combined output of over 70 MW that are being implemented in the state of Brandenburg by renewables developer and operator Energiekontor AG (ETR:EKT).

The contracted electricity will be supplied under 15-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) at a fixed price, Energiekontor said on Wednesday. The PPAs are structured on a pay-as-forecasted model meaning that the off-taker will receive the day-ahead forecast power. The deal with Bosch is the first PPA with a German corporate off-taker for Energiekontor which has already concluded several supply agreements with utilities.

The two subsidy-free solar plants are set to produce up to 77.4 GWh of green electricity annually. Energiekontor will be in charge of the operation of the facilities.

The Bremen-based renewables company has realised wind and solar projects with a total rated power of about 1 GW and operates its own portfolio of solar and wind parks with a total capacity of nearly 330 MW.
