Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTBosnian company ETMax d.o.o. has won a concession from the government of Republika Srpska for the construction and operation of a 500-MW solar power plant in Nevesinje municipality.
The firm has 60 days to sign the 50-year concession agreement or else will lose its right to build the facility, according to a news article posted on the website of the municipality.
ETMax’s director Sinisa Maksimovic told local business portal Capital that the BAM-880-million (USD 493m/EUR 450m) project involves the construction of one 200-MW solar park and six smaller ones of 50 MW each. He added that the firm will have two years to design the project and four years to execute its construction.
The mayor of Nevesinje, Milenko Avdalovic, was meanwhile quoted as saying that ETMax also intends to build a factory for the local production of a portion of the equipment needed for the project.
