Bosnian share indices mostly down in week ended Dec 6

SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 6 (SeeNews) – The share indices of Bosnia's two stock exchanges, in Sarajevo and Banja Luka, on Friday closed mostly lower than the week-earlier levels, bourse data showed.

The 10-share benchmark SASX-10 index of the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) closed at 855.31 points, down from 882.00 points last Friday.

The broader SASX-30 index, which comprises the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, decreased to 1,306.07 from 1,308.50 points on November 29.

The SASE index, tracking investment funds, the BIFX, closed at 932.48 points, up from last Friday's 917.84 points.

The Islamic stock index SASX-BBI, launched by SASE and Bosna Bank International (BBI), decreased to 10,986.86 after closing at 11,250.82 points last Friday. The index tracks 25 companies.

SASE is based in the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) is based in the other entity, the Serb Republic.

The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 612.97 points, up 3.22% from last Friday's closing value.

Hidroelektrane na Drini a.d. Visegrad [HEDR-R-A] generated the largest trading turnover, of 150,000 marka, on the BLSE official market this week. This week the company's shares last traded on Tuesday, closing at 0.25 marka, unchanged from Monday's close.

BLSE’s total trading turnover soared to 44.4 million marka this week, from 14.2 million marka last week. This week's turnover was generated in 511 transactions.

Out of the total turnover, 37.2 million marka was generated by the sale of seven-year Treasury notes on Monday.
