Bosnia's Bosanski Petrovac municipality gave the green light to the economy ministry of the Una-Sana Canton to launch a tender for concession rights for the construction of 90 megawatt solar power plant worth 100 million marka ($60.7 million/51 million euro), local media reported.

The solar plant, to be built on a land plot of some 150 hectares, will be the largest in the country, news daily Nezavisne Novine quoted Bosanski Petrovac mayor Mahmut Jukic as saying on Monday.

The Una-Sana Canton is one of ten cantons forming the Federation, one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
