The government of Bosnia's Canton 10 said it has decided to award a concession to local Vjetroelektrane Dah Planine, a subsidiary of German renewable energy company wpd, for the construction of two wind power plants with a combined installed capacity of 264 MW.

The concessionaire will build the 138 MW wind park Cadilj in the municipality of Glamoc, the cantonal government said in a statement on Wednesday.

The company will also build the Marino Brdo wind park, with an installed capacity of 126 MW, in Bosansko Grahovo.

Bremen-headquartered wpd develops and operates onshore and offshore wind farms and solar parks and is engaged in 28 countries around the world.

Canton 10 is one of 10 cantons of the Federation, one of two constituent entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Serb Republic is the other entity.
