Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTBosnian building materials group Lager doo has bought an 85% stake in the company behind a 300-MW wind farm project in Serbia, according to an official filing with the Serbian Business Registers Agency.
The majority interest in the Snaga Istoka project, set to create the largest wind complex in the region, was bought as part of Lager's plan to become one of the leading renewable power producers in the area. The value of the transaction was kept under wraps.
The remaining 15% stake in the project is held by private individuals Igor Zivkovic and Dejan Vuksanovic, each holding a 7.5% stake, shows data from the Serbian Business Registers Agency.
To be installed in the eastern municipality of Bar, the Snaga Istoka wind farm will be installed at a cost of EUR 360 million (USD 385.8m), local media reports. Supposedly, the scheme is undergoing a process to secure grid-connection approval from Serbia’s transmission system operator Elektromreza Srbije (EMS), with construction expected to be launched as soon as the late 2025.
