Bosnia's Prijedor heating co invites bids for biomass project - EBRD

Bosnian district heating company Toplana AD Prijedor has launched a two-stage tender for the construction of a biomass-fired heating plant, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which will finance the project, said on Friday.

The district heating plant will have a 2x10 megawatt thermal and a 1.0 megawatt electric cogeneration unit, the EBRD said in a statement.

In the first phase of the tender, technical proposals should be sent by January 15, 2015. The second stage of the tender will consist of updated technical proposals, incorporating all changes required by Toplana.

The EBRD said earlier that the Prijedor biomass project is estimated at 9.5 million euro.

Toplana AD Prijedor is majority owned by the city of Prijedor.
