Bosnia's Serb Republic invites bids for construction of 65 MW solar plant

BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), July 2 (SeeNews) – Bosnia's Serb Republic has launched a tender for awarding a concession contract for the construction of a 65 MW solar power plant worth an estimated 150 million euro ($89.3 million/76.7 million euro), the entity's energy ministry said.

The deadline for the submission of bids is July 27, the Serb Republic's energy ministry said in a statement last week.

The solar plant, to be built on a 80-hectare plot of land in Ljubinje, will have an annual output of some 104 GWh.

Local media reported earlier this year that Turkish company IFS Solar was interested in the construction of the plant in Ljubinje.

Ljubinje is a town in the Serb Republic, one of the two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Federation.
