Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTBosnia's Serb Republic energy ministry said it signed an agreement with local company Vjetroelektrana Grebak to increase the installed capacity of the future Grebak wind farm to 66 MW in view of the latest achievements in wind turbine production.
An annex to the original contract signed with Vjetroelektrana Grebak takes into account the technical developments that have occurred since the concession request was submitted, as well as improvements in wind turbine production regarding installed capacity and efficiency, the Serb Republic's energy ministry said in a press release on Friday.
The original contract envisaged an installed capacity of 49.5 MW at Grebak, to be delivered by 15 wind turbines.
The value of the investment project in Nevesinje municipality amounts to 132.2 million marka ($81 million/67.6 million euro), according to the press release.
Works on the wind farm will launch in the first week of December, the ministry said. The wind farm is expected to be completed by the end of next year and to be commissioned by mid-2022, according to earlier media reports.
The concessionaire shall pay a concession fee of 0.0055 marka per kilowatt-hour.
In April 2019, the Serb Republic's government signed a 50-year concession contract with Vjetroelektrana Grebak for the construction of the wind farm. Vjetroelektrana Grebak was founded by Admir Rahimic, Mostar-based firm Impro Impex, and German company Erich Preissler Windparkverwaltung GmbH.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
