Bosnia’s Serb Republic to back local business with 7.3 mln euro

BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), April 19 (SeeNews) – The government of Bosnia’s Serb Republic said it will grant a total of 14.3 million marka ($9.5 million/7.3 million euro) to local companies to support their development and job creation.

Out of the total, 9.0 million marka will go to manufacturer R-S Silicon, which will use the money to open a silicon metal plant, the government of the Serb Republic said on Thursday.

IT firm Lanaco Informacione Tehnologije will get 4.3 million marka in support of its programme for opening new jobs. A total of 700,000 marka will be allocated to poultry producer Brojler-Zlatno Pile, and 273,000 marka will go to renewable energy producer Green Power.

The Serb Republic is one of the two entities that form Bosnia. The other is the Muslim-Croat Federation.
