NTPC’s green energy arm eyes USD 1.2bn from Indian IPO
Sep 19, 2024 11:52 CESTSARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 1 (SeeNews) – The share indices of Bosnia's two stock exchanges - in Sarajevo and Banja Luka - closed higher this week, bourse data showed.
The 10-share benchmark SASX-10 index of the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) closed at 699.75 points on Thursday, up from 688.77 points last Friday.
The SASE was closed on March 1 for a public holiday.
The broader SASX-30 index, which comprises the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, closed at 1,153.66, compared to 1,145.17 points a week earlier.
The SASE index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, rose to 705.79 points from 703.78 points.
The Islamic stock index SASX-BBI, launched by SASE and Bosna Bank International (BBI), increased to 10,821.05 on Thursday, from 10,689.79 points last Friday. The index tracks 25 companies.
SASE is based in the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) is based in the other entity, the Serb Republic.
The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 672.29 points on Friday, up 4.44% from a week earlier.
Bosnia's Hidroelektrane na Drini [BANJ:HEDR-R-A] generated the biggest trading turnover of 900,000 marka on the BLSE's official market this week.
The BLSE’s total trading turnover decreased to 1.5 million marka from 3.4 million marka last week. This week's turnover has been generated in 237 transactions.
