French renewable electricity producer UNITe Group has secured debt financing worth EUR 27 million (USD 29.1m) for the construction of a 29-MW solar park in the Loiret department of north-central France.

The financing was extended by BPCE Energeco and Banque Populaire Val de France, part of French lender BPCE. According to a statement on Tuesday, the loan facility matures in 23 years.

The proposed photovoltaic (PV) farm will be installed within a pheasant farm in the commune of Loury, creating shaded areas for the birds. Construction works have already commenced and the solar arrays are expected to be put on stream in August 2025. The plant’s annual output is estimated to be around 32 GWh, or enough to cover the electricity demand of more than 14,000 people.
