Brazil's Piaui govt clears operations for 300-MW wind park
Sep 12, 2024 9:29 CESTSep 22, 2014 - Brazil's Mines and Energy Ministry has cleared local 18-MW Verace 27 wind power plant, owned by energy companies Eletrosul and Renobrax, as priority project for the country.
This means the plant's operators may issue infrastructure debentures which offer tax cuts for investors.
The facility is being built in Santa Vitoria do Palmar municipality, in southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. Eletrosul and Renobrax won the plant's concession at the government's energy auction held in November 2013.
Last week the 30-MW EOL Ventos de Santa Joana II wind farm also secured priority status.
