Brazil's Piaui govt clears operations for 300-MW wind park
Sep 12, 2024 9:29 CESTOct 18, 2013 - Brazilian renewable energy developer Bioenergy delivered 47 GWh to the national power grid in the first half of 2013, from its two wind parks Aratua I and Miassaba II, in Rio Grande do Norte state.
According to data of energy clearing house CCEE, Aratua I generated 23,524 MWh and Miassaba II -- 24,189.84 MWh in the first six months of the year. The units have a combined capacity of 28.8 MW and are equipped with 18 GE turbines.
"We have been operating at well elevated production and usage rates, something exceptional", said Sergio Marques, president of Bioenergy. "We monitor real-time the parks' operation which allows us to asses the performance and correct any deviation immediately", he added.
The parks have received BRL 2 million (USD 925,000/EUR 676,000) investments in environmental protection and monitoring.
